CoolingOff is a browser extension that helps you pause before buying. This policy explains what it does with your data. The short version: your data stays in your browser, and we do not collect it.

What the extension stores

• The items you choose to cool off: title, page address, website, optional price and currency, chosen cooldown, and timestamps.
• Your settings (default cooldown) and simple counters (such as total “Money Kept”).

This is saved only in your browser's local extension storage on your device. We have no servers that receive it, and no account system.

What the extension reads from web pages

On supported shopping websites, the extension looks at the page to find buy buttons and, when you click “Cool off”, reads that item's name and price so it can be saved to your list. It does not read your browsing history, form fields, passwords or payment details, and it does not send page content anywhere.

What we do not do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No remote code: the extension runs only the code packaged with it.

Permissions

• Storage: to keep your list and settings on your device.
• Alarms and notifications: to tell you when a cooldown ends.
• Access to listed shopping websites: to show the Cool off button and save the item you chose.
• Access to our thank-you page (subguard.calmbraintools.com/thanks): to notice a completed tip so you are not asked again straight away.

Optional tips

If you choose to “Buy me a coffee”, you are taken to a checkout page run by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. They collect and process your payment details under their own privacy policy. CoolingOff never sees your card details. After a completed payment you are sent to a thank-you page on this website. If the extension is installed, it notes on your device only that you have supported it (a simple count and date), so it can stop asking for a while. Nothing is sent to us and we do not know who you are.

Your control

You can export your list as CSV or delete all data from the extension's settings page, or remove everything by uninstalling the extension.
